Pale Rider (Daily spitpaint no 5) by Snakebearer
Pale Rider (Daily spitpaint no 5)
Topic: Pale Rider

Okay, this one's concept might seem quite simple at first glance. But it's not really that obvious. It is not a skeletal horse from WoW, and that is not Sylvanas.
This is one of my main characters I've written about and painted quite a lot. Simply put, he's a god of death. But the concept we're seeing is before be became a god, and was still competing to become one.
Imagine a hundred divinely powered necromancers trying to prove themselves by killing each other in a battle royale until last man standing, spanning a whole world.

Like all other spitpaints, 30 minutes. :)

Here is a process gif:

This is actually based on one of my tattoos. Rather how it would have looked if it was made today with my current skills Smiley wink

The idea isn't that deep compared to my other spitpaints, but it's obviously an interpretation of Quetzalcoatl - the winged serpent god.
Will post the process in the comments.

As with all the spitpaints, 30 minute deadline.

A Police year 2056 (Daily spitpaint no 3) by Snakebearer
A Police year 2056 (Daily spitpaint no 3)
Topic: A Police year 2056

I instantly got hung up on the quote from Einstein about that the fourth world war would be fought with sticks and stones. Considering all the crappy things happening today, a post apocalyptic world in the year 2056 isn't that much of a leap. In my concept here, I had the idea that small pockets of people survived a nuclear disaster. And that the majority of the worlds iron pockets and old world cities have been highly radioactive. People have to survive with the knowledge of a modern day society, but must stay away from the technological advances we made. Since we can't use machines to move us or other stuff, we go back to using animals. Which made me think of cowboys. But like I said, metal is radioactive - to keep my ideas from becoming another wasteland or fallout ripoff. Natural materials. Bone, leather and wood. Stone weapons and bow and arrow would perhaps be the most reliable around. Perhaps some brave souls travel into deadzones to gather old world tech, and sacrifice themselves.
Simply put, a revisited stone age with todays enlightenment. Pretty fun idea, no?

Yeah. I am. :P

I have uploaded some stuff during the last few years. Removed older pieces as well.
I'm trying to upload a decent portfolio, but I still haven't found a style that defines me.

But I do have to say that I've improved a lot. A lot of concept pieces and portraits nowdays. Mostly inspired from my tabletop RPGs.

Might actually upload more journal entries if I get some attention on dA. XD
